About erectile dysfunction
An erection cannot be obtained and maintained due to erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence.
Among older men, erectile dysfunction is a prevalent condition. According to estimates, half of all men between 40 and 70 Years will suffer from this condition in some form.
Consultation with your physician when necessary
If you have been experiencing erectile dysfunction for more than a few weeks, consult your physician. Family physicians will assess your general health because the condition may indicate a more serious health condition, such as heart disease (when the heart’s blood supply is blocked or interrupted).
What is the cause of erectile dysfunction?
Physical and psychological factors can contribute to erectile dysfunction.
The following are physical causes:
A narrowing of the blood vessels leading to the penis – is commonly associated with high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol, or diabetes
Problems related to hormones
Injuries or surgeries
ED may be caused by psychological factors such as:
anxiety
depression
Problems with relationships
Erectile dysfunction can occur only in certain circumstances. During masturbation, for instance, you may be able to obtain an erection, or you may find that you sometimes wake up with an erection but cannot achieve one with your partner.
If this is the case, erectile dysfunction is likely caused by psychological factors (stress). However, the underlying cause is likely physical if you cannot obtain an erection.
The use of certain medicines can also result in erectile dysfunction.
Diagnosis
Despite your embarrassment, you must receive a diagnosis from identifying the cause.
It is usually possible for your general practitioner to diagnose erectile dysfunction. There will be a series of questions about your symptoms, a physical examination, and a few simple tests.

What is the treatment for erectile dysfunction?
The primary treatment for erectile dysfunction is to address the cause of the problem, whether physical or psychological.
One of the most common causes of ED is the narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis). In these cases, your physician may recommend lifestyle changes, such as Weight Loss, to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease. As a result, your symptoms may be relieved as well as your general health may be improved as a result.
Also, you may be prescribed medications to treat atherosclerosis, such as cholesterol-lowering statins and blood pressure-lowering medications.
Erectile dysfunction has been successfully treated with several treatments. At least two-thirds of cases can be managed with medication, such as sildenafil (marketed as Viagra) Brands Like Cenforce 100, Fildena 120, Malegra 25 mg or Tadalafil (marketed as Cialis) Brands like Vidalista 20, Vidalista 40. In 90% of cases, vacuum pumps effectively enhance blood flow to the p e n i s and cause an erection.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and sex therapy are available psychological treatments.
The treatment of erectile dysfunction has improved significantly in recent years. As a result, the majority of men are eventually able to have sex again.
